Trying to upgrade to Linphone 6 on Linux I found the new version uses a new path for settings and databases, i.e. ~/.local/share/linphone6, where it used to be ~/.local/share/linphone.
Copying everything across or renaming the folder did not work. I could restore the call history, but the friends.db does not get displayed with version 6.
I think it is necessary to describe the proper migration path, at least which files to copy and which not, or whatever manual modifications need to be done for a seamless migration.
