I recently updated from version 5.2.6 to 6.0.0.

The new version of the application opened properly at first, but it crashed as soon as I tried adding a new contact. From that point, Linphone 6.0.0 always crash once started, impossible to open and use the application.

I had to reinstall v5.2.6 in order to be able to open the application again (working well with the old version). I must add that the contact newly added in v6.0.0 did not appeared in the contact list of v5.2.6 once I reverted back.

Nothing related in the system logs have been found, thanks.

Same here on Linux with Linphone6-6.1.0-alpha-36-g672ae55ea-x86_64.AppImage.

The app crashes whenever I press "Save" on adding or editing a contact. But in my case I can restart the app, and the edited contact is present on restart. So the crash happens after database commit.

Nothing can be seen in the log: linphone61.log

@kavgagnon : Just a side question (see #908): Did your old contacts from v5 appear in Linphone6?

No, all my contacts were present when I opened the v6, did not encountered any stuff missing from my previous v5.

Same issue on Windows 11 Pro. A pop error with the message "Linphone - A libre SIP client has stopped working" appears. In the event manager, it states " liblinphone++.dll" was the cause.
