Notification bar unreadable

Notification bar works correctly with Default theme but Matcha theme gives a black notification bar across the whole screen with any text wrapped in a narrow column on the left making it unreadable.

Sorry - should have said that I an using Gnome 47, Wayland, Linux 6.12.19-1-Manjaro
