Can I use local templates with --template-dir option?

I want to make slight changes to the typescript-fetch template locally.

I checked out swagger-codegen project locally and running CLI with --template-dir option pointing it at the typescript-fetch folder:

Java -jar .\\bin\\swagger-codegen-cli.jar generate --template-dir C:\projects\swagger-codegen\modules\swagger-codegen\src\main\resources\typescript-fetch -i https://localhost:7113/swagger/v1/swagger.json -o output -Dio.swagger.v3.parser.util.RemoteUrl.trustAll=true

I'm getting the following exception:

What am I missing?

As was pointed out in another answer I had to use templates from here:
https://github.com/swagger-api/swagger-codegen-generators/tree/master/src/main/resources/handlebars/typescript-fetch

I don't understand what is the intention for separating those, but it looks like the one I was using isn't the template that is being used when I run the CLI. I would love if somebody can explain the relationship between swagger-codegen-generators and swagger-codegen.
