Texinfo does not generate email addresses in conf.py author field

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

It is common to include an email address in the author field for example see:

• https://github.com/scipopt/PySCIPOpt/blob/master/docs/conf.py#L25
• https://github.com/hypershell/hypershell/blob/master/docs/conf.py#L21

This is left as is and not transformed to @email{contact@@my.email}

Describe the solution you'd like

Either add an explicit email contact field or standardize having the contact email in
the author field in the conf.py file

Describe alternatives you've considered
Have suggested two options, standardizing the format of the email contact in the
author field seems the easiest.
