Environment

  • Python version: 3.9.18
  • Nautobot version: 2.3.10
  • nautobot-device-onboarding version: 4.1.0
  • ntc-templates version:

Expected Behavior

Choosing a higher level location would include all devices in the child locations

Observed Behavior

Device onboarding does not find any devices and the job completes successfully without any changes.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Setup location with at least 1 child location
  2. Add devices to the child location
  3. Start sync from network job
  4. Select the upper level location
  5. Execute job

Alternatively if a Dynamic group could be used as a target that would be another option
