Additional note: I just want to be able to control this myself to suit my own purposes. |

When my SH10RS system is in standard running mode, it seems to mostly do the right things.
It charges the battery, and powers my home with PV and/or grid as needed during the day.
It also runs my home on battery during the evening when the power prices are high.
However, late in the evening and through the night when power prices (and my home loads) are lower, it always switches over to draw from the grid - which it does all through the night, even though there is battery available.
I have been trying to find a way to force it to use the battery over these times - all night if possible, but have been failing.
I thought putting it into forced mode/forced discharge mode, enabling export power limit mode, and with an export power limit set as zero might do it, but it appears to ignore the export power limit mode setting and simply exports from the battery to the level i set in forced charge/discharge - whatever the house needs and the rest to the grid. I was able to get it to limit the export to grid to a non-zero number sometimes, but not consistently.
The system happily export limits from PV during the day when this setting is enabled. Shouldn't it also prevent battery discharge to the grid? Or perhaps does force charge/discharge override this setting?
I wondered if perhaps it is the low load on my house during these periods - always less than 1kW. Perhaps the battery won't start to discharge until the load is a certain amount? My version of inverter doesn't have any settings for battery discharge start power - but maybe there is a default minimum? But then that doesn't happen when it is in off-grid mode.
I'd appreciate any advice - even just to get an understanding of what it is doing.
As an idea, here are my current settings, and what my home is doing:
