Keyword consolidation

First, thanks for the time you put into this. Very user friendly.

I was curious if anyone had any ideas or tips on consolidating keywords or rolling them up into parent categories to ensure many images contain the same tag? I assume there is no memory/context between images.

For instance, if the tagger output specific tree keywords "oak", "maple", "birch" how might I ensure "tree" made it into the keyword list?

You are in luck. I have been working on a solution to this for the past two weeks. I have a working script. However it limits itself to words that have already been generated, it just tries to expand all of the words describing the same things to all the images.

Glad I asked! What are your thoughts on the workflow?

Imagine I had a few directories of untagged images. I want them tagged. I am thinking the workflow would be:

1. Run LLavaImageTagger to analyze and tag images
2. Run KeywordExpander on processed images to consolidate related tags

That's what I am doing. KeywordExpander doesn't make backups of the images but it does create KeywordExpander_metadata.json which contains all the original keywords for the images, which can be used to revert them back in case something goes wrong, but according to your risk tolerance you may want to back up the images since this script has only been tested in my own environment.

My goal is to give it a GUI like the Image Indexer and eventually integrate the two together.
