MAX78000FTHR External SRAM example code failing

According to the datasheet of MAX78000FTHR, the board should be equipped with an external SRAM of 1Mb that is accessible with QSPI. However, when I run the [example code](https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/msdk/blob/main/Examples/MAX78000/FTHR_SRAM/main.c), the program fails with code -2 corresponding to "no device error". What is wrong on my end? Did I not understand the datasheet correctly?
