SCXML: JSON version? Distributed runtime System for the Cloud

Does anyone know whether there exist a JSON version of SCXML? I mean a version which replaces the XML part from SCXML and replaces it all with JSON.

If I understand correctly then all SCXML execution/simulation engines run on a shared memory parallel computer - most likely executing on a single core only. Is anyone aware of a distributed engine that manages to executes the states potentially on a parallel computer or on a cloud? This could mean that different state machines or states of the same SCXML session are executed in parallel.
