Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

When scrolling in Steam Game Mode (no issue noticed within SteamDeck's Desktop Mode), the mouse will automatically deactivate after 3 seconds of mouse movement. However, this occurs during scrolling (which does not require mouse movement) and will always stop scrolling once it deactivates. I am using a Logitech laser mouse that is connected via USB connection through the Steam Deck's official Dock. The only way to activate the mouse again is to purposefully move it around, which wakes it up.

This is frustrating because whenever I scroll through my games or on a game page, this happens. I usually only use a controller to play games and navigate the Steam Game Mode OS almost 100% via an attached mouse.

The delay (currently 3000 milliseconds) used to be modifiable within Steam's Desktop Mode, but I can no longer locate the file. Please add an option, within both the Steam Game Mode and Desktop Mode side, to modify the time out time or turn it off completed.

Note: I have not noticed this happen within a game, only within the Steam's Game Mode OS.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. When using a wired mouse, enter Steam's Game Mode
  2. Do not enter a game. Instead, find a game page or list of games where you can scroll.
  3. Scroll for more than 3 seconds without moving the base of the mouse. Note: On a mouse pad with friction, this is almost always going to happen unless you force movement.
  4. You will no longer be able to scroll.
